Finally
Ok I can finally post. Thank you Jarrod, anyway Ive been working on the designs for the ingredient cards as well as the recipe cards. I will post some examples soon for feedback, but I'd just like to remind the others that we will be meeting on monday at the normal classtime.
Oops
Hey Chris, I sent another invite to the blog to your school email. Follow the link in it to sign up again. Something must have been botched the first time around.
Sorry I didn't see that until you told me.
EDIT: Sent a request to your other email as well. You should delete your comment you made here so crawlers don't send you spam though.

Yet another board update
Another board update
Starting the board
Like the title says, I've started making the game board design. Here's some 72 DPI versions of what I'm at right now:

I've tried a few different methods and found that a more abstract system fits the mood of out game better. The board is pretty much barren, but that's being worked on of course. There will be a 1/2 inch border around the whole board in the end, and I plan on putting some type of key and labels for the rooms in that margin. The entire image is being made in Painter X, if you guys even care. Haha, whatever.
Nice to hear you're working with actual ink, Link. It'd be great to see what you're making. Of, one more thing. The name of the poster is now switched on at the bottom of every post, so no need to state your name anymore. Although you can if you feel like it, haha.
I'll work on more of the board today, maybe even finish most of it. Keep an eye out for more image posts. Also, feedback on anything is helpful. Painter is pretty forgiving with fixing things, so it's not a big deal to modify my stuff a bit. Also, if I can find my old PNG converter I'll post 150 or 300 DPI versions, because you can see the paint smudges and all that crap in those.
That's all for this update. I'm out.

Inking
I am still not that far into the art process. The one pen I was using took was too long to dry and also smeared a few times. It pissed me off! Now I have switched pens. This one will allow me to work faster because of the quick drying process, but it is made with a different type of ink so it is somewhat noticeable. Hopefully it is just me and you guys cant see the differences in the drawings. Then I am thinking, " It is all going to be scaned in so it will all show up as black". So really it wont matter. I will be posting some pictures tomorrow or at least try too. If not Jarrod, I will send them to your e-mail. I will also be able to work more on this project on Saturday and Sunday. I have to work it around my animation project, but it will get done! Only worked for about 2 hours tonight and now I am calling it a night. So ya Monday.

On our own...
Glass here.
Yeah, as Link said, we're doing our own thing this upcoming week. Our professor is going to GDC to speak and that means we need to plan our own meetings. It's not set in stone, but it looks like we're meeting during our usual class time on Monday.
As for the project itself, we pretty much need to finish it in the next week or so. It's not that bad, since we've handed out tasks already.
I had some free time, so I wrote this up quickly. Still need to post some working images, so that might come later tonight. I'm also working on a few test styles for the art of the game board, and those will be posted sometime later as well.
Glass out.
